Plants much branched, epiphytic. Stem segments oval to elongate, 10-38 mm (0.4-1.5 in) long, 8-20 mm (0.3-0.8 in) in diameter. Areoles bearing one or two bristles in one or two notches on the margins, with terminal linear areoles bearing pale bristles.
