Opuntia rastrera F A C Weber 1898


Plants shrubby, low growing and creeping along the ground. Stem segments round to obovate, forming long chains, to 20 cm (7.9 in) in diameter. Glochids yellow. Spines several, whitish with dark bases, to 4 cm (1.6 in) long. Flowers yellow. Fruits obovoid, purple. Distribution: San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Opuntia rastrera is poorly known.
