Stem segments obovate to elliptical, green, glabrous, without podaria, 18-30 cm (7.1-12 in) long, 12.5-17 cm (4.9-6.7 in) wide. Areoles small, 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 in) apart. Fruits obconical, greenish yellow with reddish tint, edible, 3.5-4.5 cm (1.4-1.8 in) long, 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 in) in diameter, with glochids and spines. Distribution: central and northern central Mexico.
