Mammillaria tepexicensis J Meyran 1991

Plants solitary. Stems globose, dark green, 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 in) high and in diameter. Tubercles conical, axils naked. Central spines 4-5, occasionally as many as 8, hooked, needlelike, yellow with reddish brown tips, flexible, 4-6 mm (0.2 in) long. Radial spines 27-30, stiff to somewhat flexible, straight to slightly curved, white, 5-6 mm (0.2 in) long. Flowers pale pink with pinkish purple midveins, to 15 mm (0.6 in) long and in diameter. Fruits globose, thin walled, embedded firmly between the tubercles. Seeds black. Distribution: Oaxaca, Mexico.
