For more than 50 years this herbarium has received cactus specimens of active researchers, especially those working in the southwestern United States. Some of the most important cactus collections include those of E. F. Anderson, M. Baker, B. Parfitt, D. Pinkava, W. Hodgson, and F. Kattermann.
